How To: Flower Arrangement

As I mentioned in last weeks post, I ditched the San Francisco Flower Mart at the last minute and decided to be a self taught floral designer. As much as I looked forward to attending one of the most famous flowers marts in the world, I realized that the amount of time that I would spend driving and searching for the perfect flowers could be better spent at home prepping for the party. So, I decided to save the San Francisco Flower Mart for another time when I can fully enjoy the experience. Early Thursday morning, I popped in and out of local stores such as Trader Joe’s and Safeway purchasing more flowers that I could have ever imagined. I was so nervous that I wouldn’t be able to find flowers that fit the picture in my head for the floral table arrangements’ for the tables.  But with just my luck both stores had gorgeous Dhalia’s and Hydrangeas and Peach Roses. I have never,  ever, created a flower arrangement in my life, so I was a little nervous before creating 20+ arrangements. After spending almost four hours snipping each flower and placing it just right, I was so relieved that I decided to get the flower arrangements out of the way. While prepping, Idecided to snap a few photos of a few projects that we have been involved in while preparing for the party. Here is my version on how to make a beautiful flower arrangement at home.
