The thing with sisters is it is physically possible to hate them and love them all at the same time. Anyone who has a sister knows this to be true. They are potentially the only people that you can kick, scream and verbally harass and then an hour later ask to borrow a shirt or if they want to get a manicure? AND I am lucky to have two of them!
I am lucky. Lucky that I am extremely close with my two sisters. Lucky that they ground me and keep me honest and lucky that I can always count on them. As cheesy as it sounds, I beam with pride when I tell stories about them. Both are so talented and hilarious. Im not going to say that they are both loving and cuddly, because they aren’t. In fact, I think I LITERALLY smother them with love, you know to that point where they are embarrassed? The three of us couldn’t be more opposite, some how we all compliment each others strengths and weaknesses.
This past weekend dumb and dumber came to visit me. I think I was more excited about their trip out here from CA than they were. See, they aren’t keen on NYC. In fact, they aren’t keen on cities at ALL. If it involves, germs, crowds, public transportation or lots of walking they opt out.
Alina is the middle one. She is 23 and a PA in Southern California. She doesn’t sugar coat anything and if you don’t know her you would say that she has resting bitch face. Her focus and dedication to her career inspires me and makes me tear up when she sends me photos of her in scrubs or a white coat.
Tiana is the youngest. She is 21 and a student at Chapman in Souther CA. Yes, they both now live in southern CA and I am across the country paying copious amounts of money to live in a cubicle sized apartment. She is by far the most loving, outgoing, most hilarious people I know. Her ability to turn every situation into a positive or comical one makes it very hard to stay mad at her. She is studying to be a special needs teacher.
