I am always looking for easy homemade gift ideas to make & share during the holiday season. Most of the time I resort to homemade rice crispy treats because they take the least amount of time and I have mastered the recipe but this year, I decided to try something new. I always enjoy going to a nice restaurant when they offer a variety of herb butters to spread across a warm piece of bread as you wait for your meal. I thought why not put my own spin on the recipe and make a sweet seasonal butter that can be spread over French Toast, Pancakes, Waffles or even an English Muffin. With Thanksgiving around the corner I decided it was necessary to somehow incorporate the pumpkin flavor into my homemade butter. I found a recipe for Pumpkin Spice butter and ran with it. The one thing I love about adding a twist to your own butter is that it takes less than 5 minutes to whip together. My sister isn’t a huge fan of pumpkin so I also made a cinnamon honey butter that she can enjoy with her toast in the morning before school. Both flavored butters are extremely easy to make and they are a great gift to bring as a hostess gift or just to have on hand to give to your guests or friends that visit you throughout the holiday season.
