Stuff ’em

I have been wanting to make my own stuffed pepper for quite some time now. I was never a fan of peppers until one day when my boyfriend decided to sneak them on a pizza we ordered while I was outside on the phone. They were hidden underneath all the cheese, bacon, sausage and mushrooms so I had no ideaa. I took a bite and mmmmmm……. I instantly became a fan of bell peppers. The other day I made up my own recipe (listed below) for these stuffed bell peppers. They were delicious and extremely filling. MUST TRY.

Ingredients:
3-4 cups of slightly under cooked orzo
One block of mozzarella grated cheese
2 handfulls of bread crumbs
hamburger meat
1 Can of Tomato Sauce
1 small onion
2.5 cups of diced mushrooms
3 garlic cloves

Instructions:
– Cut top off of bell pepper and remove seeds
– Chop Garlic, Onion, and Mushrooms
– Heat water for Orzo… cook orzo for 8 mins
– Heat saucepan with olive oil, cook ground beef (a little underdone)
– Add onions, mushrooms, garlic, tomato sauce salt and pepper to taste (to add a little kick put in some cayenne pepper/crushed red peppers)
– After the sauce has cooked add in the orzo and mix, pour in bowl
– Stuff the peppers with the orzo/meat sauce
– Placed stuffed peppers in a pan and place in the oven (Bake @ 350 degrees for 35 mins)
– Last five minutes sprinkle with mozzarella and bread crumbs
